70 лет гитаристу-виртуозу, обладателю многочисленных премий «Грэмми» Карлосу Сантане. Музыка вошла в жизнь Карлоса в 5 лет, когда отец-скрипач решил взяться за музыкальное образование сына. И в скором времени его талант начал приносить деньги в семью.
В юности Сантана подражал великим Би Би Кингу и Джону Ли Хукеру, но быстро нашел свой стиль. Его выступление на легендарном Вудстоке 69 года покорило полумиллионную аудиторию. И вскоре его дебютный альбом становится дважды платиновым.
В 1988 году появилась звезда Сантаны на «Аллее славы» в Голливуде. А в 2001 мэр его родного города в Мексике Аутлан-Де-Наварро вручил ему ключи от города и назвал одну из центральных улиц именем Сантаны.
О мастерстве музыканта говорят: «Его гитара - это живое существо, которое разговаривает, плачет и смеется вместе со своим хозяином, чутко улавливая его настроение».
