DIMA TKACHENKO
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Dima Tkachenko studied in Kyiv and London and in 2002 was made a Fellow of the Guildhall School. He was a prize-winner at several international violin competitions including Carl Nielsen Competition (Odense, Denmark), Lysenko Competition (Kyiv), Wronski solo violin Competition (Warsaw) and is having a busy solo career performing throughout Europe, Japan, China and the USA.
Dima Tkachenko is the founder and Artistic Director of the Benjamin Britten International Music Competitions and the founder of the annual Kyiv Festival in Ukraine.
ORCHESTRA AND CONDUCTORS
The Final Round of the Competition will be held at the Cadogan Hall on Monday 21 April 2008. The four finalists will perform with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Volodymyr Sirenko and Simon Wright
