Я в последнее время частенько стал замечать на форуме цитаты из произведений этого писателя. Его размышления о значении искусства и прочих проявлений духовной жизни мне весьма интересны, хотя часто не хочется с ними соглашаться.
Так что прошу знакомых и не знакомых с его творчеством обсудить его идеи.

Well, I am talking about the motive of applying speculation, calculation and analysis to the problem of being genius.
If you "don't feel"(c) [quite sure about that - WBL] why then you "calculate and analyze" (c) ?

Certainly Harry knew for sure that Dorian hadn't had a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Brown University. Otherwise he would have kept silence.

I was not requesting apologies, just took up an opportunity to quote from Faulkner. Here is the exact quotation from "Light in August":
