Стихи на английском (рекомендую для изучающих)

Стихи, которые, возможно, заинтересуют тех, кто слегка знает английский (как я).

Стихи на неродном языке, который знаешь не очень, читать трудно, если это серьезная поэзия. Многое из того, что мне попадалось, просто не звучит, так должны звучать хорошие стихи. Вот одно из немногих стихотворений, которое «заиграло» для меня. Видимо, из-за не слишком изощренной лексики и грамматики.

Наверняка нашлись поэты, которые давно перевели его на русский, но это уже совсем другая «песня», и лучше ее не слушать (или отложить на потом).

so many things seem filled with the intent

though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

Disturbing the silence with the viola

The tender accord of the sounding charms.

I would have been singing her emerald eyes,
The gold of her tresses, which attract and entice.
Her roundish form like a violin's body
Is making me dizzy like a fiery toddy.

I am flying to her though my path is so far,
But my way is being lighted up by guiding star.
Oh, I hope, my Lord, that no obstacles whatever
Can stop my desire to get her forever.
